Tedford Armistead sang his first solo with a professional octet
in church at the age of eight. Since that time, he has found a wide range of outlets for his love of singing, from a madrigal group in high school to a barbershop quartet ("150 Honors") in college; from the Allegheny College Choir to the Chicago Master Singers.  Tedford also has extensive musical theater experience, enjoying many wonderful roles over the years.  It was the role of John Adams in
1776 that led to his involvement in Custom Blend, having formed lifelong friendships with several members of the cast and crew (Tom, Tom, Keith and Susie) who are also members of our fantastic group.  What is even more wonderful is the opportunity to share this amazing experience with the love of his life-his wife, Cal.  Proud father to Nikki and Cori, Tedford thinks of Custom Blend as more than just a group of talented singers, but as an extended family.  Love, laughter and harmonies fill the room whenever we're together.  What could be better than that?!

Bill Duvel began singing and performing at an early age and has kept at it for sixty years. From elementary school through high school, he sang in church choirs, school choruses, school and community musical theater productions and special ensembles. In college at Tufts University, outside Boston, he sang with the University Chorus and directed his fraternity in singing competitions; but his proudest accomplishment was being a founder and director of the Beelzebubs, the male a cappella group that in 2009 achieved national recognition as a finalist on the TV show “Sing Off.” In his post-college years Bill settled in Acton where he sang for a time with the Two by Fours and for 20 years directed a church handbell ensemble. Bill is a retired environmental engineer living in Marblehead. He is married, has three grown children, and nine grandchildren. Singing with Custom Blend is something very special. “Sunday night rehearsals are the highlight of my week. It’s so much fun—great people, interesting and challenging music, and a passion for musical excellence rarely found. I love these guys.”
